Animus & Infusion Explained

Animus is the core experience system of Requiem. It represents your growth, power, and potential. You’ll use Animus to enhance your character by:

•Increasing skills and their caps

•Boosting base stats

•Purchasing feats within skill trees

But before you can earn Animus, you must first accumulate Infusion.

What is Infusion?

Infusion is the foundational energy that fuels your journey toward Animus. For every 1,000 Infusion earned, you gain 1 point of Animus.

You can earn Infusion from nearly every meaningful activity in the world of Requiem, including:

•Defeating hostile NPCs or “mobs” in combat

•Gathering resources (mining, harvesting, etc.)

•Crafting items and equipment

•Solving in-game riddles and puzzles using found objects

•Performing successful Allopathy procedures

•Receiving the daily infusion boost

•Most importantly—ROLEPLAYING

Infusion Limits

To ensure balance and meaningful progression, Infusion gains are subject to a daily cap with diminishing returns over time. This encourages diverse gameplay and regular interaction rather than grind-heavy loops.

Rested Infusion Bonus

Rested Infusion is accumulated passively while your character is logged out. Once earned, it enhances all Infusion gains, whether from combat (defeating enemies), crafting, gathering resources, or using certain in-game skills. The maximum amount of Rested Infusion you can store is 20,000.
